POPSENTERET is a museum and adventure center that is located at Grünerløkka in Oslo, and is the place for you who want to know more about and experience Norwegian popular music in a whole new way. From Adolf Østby and Rocke-Pelle to Satyricon and Susanne Sundfør, from Chat Noir to the Øya Festival - together with hundreds of other artists and events, and not least rarities and technical innovations, they present our extensive and impressive music history.
DIGITAL INSTALLATIONS, EXHIBITIONS
To present this in a lively way, we have collected treasures, records, pictures, posters, video and everything that is of popular musical interest, and presented it both digitally and physically. The center consists of four floors and offers both digital installations, theme exhibitions and interactive experiences such as Artist Stations and Time Machine. Search your favorite songs, best memories and great festival experiences. Sing in Norwegian hits in the studio and design your own album cover, or get the artist experience in large format with Scene Horror.
As a modern experience center and event house, however, we focus not only on history - we are also concerned with what is moving in today's music image in particular and how the future of music Norway will look. With fixed and changing exhibitions and engaging events, experiences are offered out of the ordinary.
